Beyond the laughs and entertainment, the Kiwanis Half K has a meaningful purpose: supporting the Redding Sundial Kiwanis Food For Kids Program, where every dollar raised directly supports Enterprise Elementary School District’s Food Pantry.
Covering just 0.31 miles, this event has raised an impressive $71,000 over the years, helping feed thousands of children in need in the Redding community.
In 2024 alone, the event raised an incredible $20,000, and with your participation, 2025 can be an even bigger success. It’s a chance to make a real impact while having the time of your life!
The Kiwanis Half K is not your typical charity event – it started as a playful response to what felt like the never-ending 5Ks happening in the area.
This hilarious, lighthearted alternative covers only 0.31 miles (1640 feet), encouraging participants to embrace the fun, not the fitness.
With burgers, beer or mimosas, live music, and an energetic decathlon featuring fun activity stations, it’s an unforgettable day of laughter and celebration. Plus, every participant gets a 1st place medal and a .31 oval sticker to proudly show off their “achievement.”
